V3 is a unique and innovative program administered by the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) that partners with private companies, state and local governmental agencies, and colleges and universities across the Commonwealth to promote the recruitment, hiring, and retention of military veterans in the Virginia workforce. Since its inception in 2012, more than 55,000 veterans have been hired as a result of the V3 program. There are currently more than 1,900 V3 partner employers in Virginia and more than 1,100 have completed V3 Certification.
“The V3 Program has been, and continues to be, a major success in fulfilling its mission of promoting the hiring of transitioning service members and veterans so that these highly trained men and women stay in Virginia and contribute to our economy. V3 is successful because of our nearly 2,000 partner employers,” said Ross Koenig, V3 Program Manager. “V3 is a true public-private partnership. We are fortunate to have great corporate partners, such as Lawrence Companies, that are truly committed to finding, hiring and retaining veterans and their spouses.”
